Elma Electronic Inc. has released a 3U CMFF (CMOSS mounted form factor) chassis that is both SOSA and CMOSS aligned as well as SAVE-compliant. The new, off-the-shelf unit is ideal for integrated command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C5ISR) in ground vehicles, tactical combat environments and high-performance processing applications for ground or rotary wing vehicles.

The newest addition to the family of CompacFrames accelerates application development and testing for systems using PICs (plug-in cards) based on VITA 48.8 air flow through (AFT) cooling standard. The SOSA aligned AFT backplane provides 5 slots on 1.5” pitch and accommodates 3U plug-in cards (PICs) designed to VITA 48.8.
